Castle Gryn

Situated on the Welsh side of the borderlands high above Ruthin, this ‘medieval’ castle was built in 1977.

This unusual building began life after a local planning officer told the land owner he could build a house on the site and the only thing he would get permission for was a castle.  And so Castle Gryn was born.

From relatively small beginnings around the tower, Castle Gryn has had extensive redevelopments and modernisations to create an ultra-modern medieval masterpiece.

Currently on sale £2.25 million, you won’t find any better value if it’s a castle you’re after.
